What this program is
Advanced coursework fails students in a specific way. The content is manageable; what catches people out is that AP and IB exams reward a particular kind of answer — a command term obeyed exactly, a rubric criterion addressed explicitly, working shown in the form the marker is looking for. Strong students routinely lose points for reasons that have nothing to do with understanding.
