What we require before anyone teaches vocal here
Trained in the tradition they teach
Carnatic and Hindustani are separate disciplines with separate pedagogy. Teachers are matched to the one they trained in.
Graded teaching, not just performing
A fine singer is not automatically a teacher. We look for people who have taken students through graded certification, because that is what most families here want.
Comfortable teaching online
Vocal instruction over video needs different technique — mic placement, latency, how to correct breath you cannot see. Our teachers are trained for it.
Voice assessment first
Your first session is an assessment with the teacher you would actually study under, so the match is checked before you commit.
